Three-footed Auguste Jean art glass vase with Japanese inspired enamelled design. Free formed at the kiln with the glass folded inwards on all 3 sides. Applied globs of glass appear to run down the sides. Signed 'A. Jean' in moulded relief on a glass pastile on the side of the vase. Incredible craftmanship. You will rarely see an Auguste Jean vase of this quality outside the museums in France. There is however a 1 1/2 inch piece of glass that was reattached on one of the fins on the side. There is still a very small piece of glass that is missing. Other than this, the vase is in excellent condition.
