Large example of Legras's
'Vase Directoire' circa 1880 - 1885.
This exact vase can be see on page 17 of Janine Bloch-Dermant's 'The
Art of French Glass'. This lovely vase features a swirling
palette of colors with splashes of gold aventurine. Excellent condition
with no chips or cracks. Just a few burst bubbles on the interior that
probably
occured
during while it was cooling. These minor flaws do not detract from
the beauty of this vase.

Beautiful Legras vase in amber
featuring a swirl optic. Heavy enamelled decoration in the Japanese
style which was in vogue in the 1880's. This same vase is listed in
the 1888
edition of the Legras catalog. Polished
pontil. The decoration is in perfect condition with no loss of detail.

Classic Art Deco vase created
for Daum Nancy by the well known French designer Pierre D'Avesn. This
identical vase can be see on page 236 of Cappa's "Le Genie Verrier
de L'Europe". D'Avesn designed some of Lalique's most well known pieces
including the "Serpent" and
"Tourbillon" vases. His resume includes stints as designer
and Manager at Daum, Sevres and Verlys. He started producing his own
pieces in
1927, this is one of them. It has a large scroll handles on both sides
and a "glue chip" surface treatment. The rim is fire polished
and it has a ground base ring. It's in excellent condition with no
chips or
cracks.

across the vase. Both vases have "France" engraved on the
bottom.
Polished rims. Although unsigned I've attributed these vases to Baccarat
due to the quality of the vases. Expected wear on the bases. Excellent

few small "fleabites" on
