Own a piece of American glass
history! The very first pieces of glass that Louis Comfort Tiffany
designed and produced were glass tiles used for trim on walls and around
fireplaces.
These
3 inch square tiles are some of the earliest produced because the don't
have the Tiffany patent embossed on them. They are in the shape of
a flower also know as a rosette. It's hard to find these tiles in excellent
shape because when they were
removed
they
were often
chipped
along the edges. These ones are no exception, the solid blue has a
number of chips around the edges. The blue and white slag tile is
in better shape but has a crack within it. Regardless, these tiles
are nearly impossible to find on the open market.

Stunning Findlay Onyx Spooner.
This rare form of art glass was manufactured by the Dalzell, Gillmore
and Leight Co. in 1989.
Due to it's brittle nature, the glass chipped
and
cracked
easily. Production ceased after only six months.
This Spooner is cased and has a white lining. The glass
has lots of opalescent fire when held to the light. The rim is in perfect
shape with no chips or cracks. I'm not an "expert" in this
type of glass so I don't know if the rim has been previously ground
down. Excellent shape with no cracks or chips.

Origin: United States
Maker: Dalzell, Gillmore and Leighton Co.
Dimensions: 3.75 in .tall

Beautiful Art Nouveau vase
produced at the turn of the century. Stunning workmanship
with applied green tendrils rising from the bottom and ending in a
peacock eye decoration. Polished pontil with the numbers "35176119" engraved
on the bottom. I've seen these vases attributed to Harrach in Bohemia,
Stuart & Sons and Thomas Webb in England. I'll let you be the judge.
Sadly, there is a quarter inch chip off the rim. Still a beautiful
piece of
art!

Large stunning prewar Monart
vase (Shape HF VII). Beautiful swirling palette of colours. Wafer pontil.
Unfortunately, there's a pencil size (1/16 inch) hole that goes through
the side of
the vase about halfway down. This hole managed to take off a 1/2 inch
flake of glass from the inside. Other than this the vase is in excellent
condition. It would make a beautiful cabinet piece. A vase like this
in perfect shape would sell for $400 - $500.

After
Victor Durand died in 1931, his partner Col. Evan Kimball took over
the business and began exclusively producing cluthra type glass similar
to what Frederick Carder had produced at Steuben. This venture only
lasted a year and then the business shut down. Because of the short
production period, Kimball glass is very hard to come by. Kimball
used the same shapes as Durand used. This is Shape#2011. The vase
has a polished pontil and is marked "2011-12 Dec 0" and
there's a "K" in the middle for "Kimball" This
vase is in excellent condition.

Here's a beautiful set of
six "Venetian" style Bimini cordial glasses from the 1920's.
The Bimini Glass Co. was formed in 1923 by Fritz Lampl in Vienna, Austria.
Most people are familiar with the "animal in the clear bubble
stem" version of Bimini glass. This exact Bimini "Venetian
style" pattern is pictured in Leslie Pina's "50's glass" on
page 145. The glass is paper thin and applied to a orange base. These
glasses are in excellent condition.

Wow! Here's a huge Mount Washington
Crown Milano vase with a hand decorated Phoenix/Griffin, rampant
Lion and double eagle motif. There are also gilt leaves and applied
beads surrounding the vase. There is a polished pontil on the bottom.
Now for the bad news, there are two one-inch sized chips/flakes on
the vase. One on the neck and one on the body. Fortunately they're
only on one side of the vase. This vase would still make a beautiful
cabinet piece! The most detailed side (with the griffin) is undamaged.
A vase like this in perfect condition with fetch $3000 at auction.

Beautiful set of (8) Libbey
Nash "Malmaison" Skyscraper stem goblets. 7.5 inches tall.
Extremely rare, Libbey Nash items were only produced for one year (1933).
They were very expensive to make because they were handmade. Only one
of the goblets has the Libbey acid etched signature. All eight goblets
are in excellent condition with no chips or cracks. Two of the goblets
have a very light horizontal scratch that looks like it happened during
manufacture. Two other goblets have a very small white spot on the
glass that also looks like it may have happened while being manufactured.
Item# 79
Origin: United States
Maker: Libbey Nash
Dimensions: 7.5 in. tall
Color: hand blown crystal
Age: 1933
